Financial secretary Gisela Splett was laying the groundstone (24th of July) for the VCC building at the University of Konstanz.
The new VCC will enable the exploration of swarm behavior and group movements in animal communities with new approaches on an area of about 3,200 square meters. In the special laboratories the movement of all individuals of a swarm is to be pursued. An attempt is made to keep the environment as natural as possible.
Proud of laying the foundation stone for the Centre for Visual Computing of Collectives – our new interdisciplinary facility for top-level research in the field of collective behaviour #exstra #unikonstanz @animaltracking @CollectiveBehav @martinwikelski @icouzin @Stadt_Konstanz pic.twitter.com/d1ZIiafOaQ
